How we measure success
Win Rate
Percentage of edges that resolved as winning bets. A good no-vig system targets 53%+ on spreads. We report the raw number — no cherry-picking, no hiding losing streaks.
Return on Investment
Total profit divided by total amount staked across all tracked edges. Positive ROI means the system generates long-term profit. This is the number that matters.
Closing Line Value
The gold standard of edge verification. Did SCOUT's detected line beat the closing line? Consistent positive CLV proves real, sustainable edge — not variance or luck.
Average Edge
The mean gap between Pinnacle's no-vig true probability and the soft book's implied probability across all flagged edges. Higher average edge = more value per bet.
